SecureLang was launched by Mr. Fenton in an effort to provide software infrastructure that can be professionally audited for security purposes.
While many software vendors claim that their code is “secure”, the complexity of most solutions can make it impossible even for experienced programmers or cybersecurity experts to verify these claims. SecureLang aims to address this the old fashioned way – by developing solutions that aren’t bloated and aren’t crippled by massive dependencies.
Many professionals claim to be experts in cybersecurity, and having studied this field myself I can only recommend not trusting people on the basis of being qualified in that industry. Instead you should always inspect the solutions for technical security flaws, as cybersecurity qualifications aren’t an indicator of trust (and aren’t necessarily trustworthy themselves).
So with this business I hope to shake people’s expectations around a bit and try to deliver real “secure” solutions which other experts – your own trusted experts – can look into themselves and verify the old fashioned way. SecureLang builds on years of my own experience getting technology to work in rural & off-grid settings which is how I’m able to maintain this advantage.
I also hope to use my business to promote other African and minority developers. SecureLang is currently based in the continent of Australia and operated from Yuin national lands, although I hope to eventually open branches in my own ancestral homelands offshore.
